Overview
Step into the breathtaking beauty of Austria's Salkammergut region on a hiking tour that blends lakeshores and alpine landscapes with centuries-old traditions.
Your adventure begins on the shores of Wolfgangsee, with its scenic hiking trails that pass through charming villages like St. Wolfgang and St. Gilgen. Bad Ischl, known for its thermal spas and connections to Emperor Franz Josef, offers a chance to relax as royalty once did, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Alps.
As you hike through this picturesque region, you'll follow in the footsteps of ancient travelers along the oldest salt path in the world. This historic route not only offers unparalleled views but also a glimpse into the region's mining heritage.
And finally, no visit to the Salzkammergut is complete without exploring Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage site on Lake Hallstatt. Wander its narrow, pastel-colored streets, take a boat trip and marvel at the Dachstein peaks, or descend into the 7,000-year-old salt mines.
Disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature on this hiking journey through one of Europe's most serene and breathtaking destinations!
