Overview
Your indulgent day of adventure gets underway at the Hoffnungsthal Valley heli-pad, from which you’ll ascend into the bright Australian skies and soar over the Barossa Valley’s wondrous western ridge, passing Lyndoch and the historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Beneath your feet, the sight of rows of verdant vines ripples like an emerald blanket as you behold the vineyards and palm trees of Penfolds Winery and Maggie Beer’s farm.
On the northern side of Tanunda, today’s destination drifts into view. You'll make a sensationally stylish entrance as your helicopter lands just 20m away from the entrance to the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company! Here, indulge in a succulent steak or seafood feast, followed by five of the finest house-made chocolates, guaranteed to transport you to a higher level of bliss. This lavish feast is accompanied by the BVCC’s gorgeous Vineyard Road wines for an extra touch of class.
Following your dreamy dining experience, re-board the helicopter for a spectacularly scenic flight over Tanunda, taking in views of iconic and historical Barossan buildings, as well as the Jacob’s Creek winery further south. The wine tanks here are some of the largest in Australia, each holding up to 1.4 million liters!
Your helicopter tour then turns towards home, soaring over the southern end of the Barossa, swooping by Lyndoch, and gliding over the Whispering Wall (Barossa Reservoir) and the Barossa Goldfields, allowing you to behold the full extent of this valley’s sensational beauty. Finally, descend back to the heli-pad in the verdant Hoffnungsthal Valley, a souvenir bottle of fine wine and indulgent chocolate neck tag under your arm courtesy of BVCC.

-
Combined maximum passenger weight is 270kg per flight.
- Please inform us at the time of booking of ALL accurate passenger weights.
Height restrictions:
Children must be over 100cm tall to fly. A child must be able to sit independently on their own seat. Children are not allowed to sit on laps.
Flying while pregnant:
The decision to fly at any stage of pregnancy is entirely up to the individual. There are no pressure changes or manoeuvres that could cause discomfort.
Health conditions or impairments:
- Please let us know prior to booking if adjustments will need to be made. Each person is different, and most disabilities can be catered to with prior notice.
- A golf buggy is available to assist people with walking difficulties out to the helicopter.

Motion sickness:
This is a scenic tour, not a thrill ride. Most people do not experience motion sickness. The flight is smooth, and turns are slow and gentle. We recommend that if you are prone to motion sickness, that you do not use your camera or phone - looking at these screens can create distorted vision, which can cause motion sickness. If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea.
