Overview
Indulge in an immersive experience that allows you to sip, soar, and savor! You’ll behold the unbounded beauty of the Barossa Valley from an unbeatable vantage point, taste the sumptuous fruits of the valley, and settle down to a spread in one of the region’s most esteemed establishments.
Settle into a scenic helicopter flight of epic proportions as you lift off from the gorgeous Hoffnungsthal Valley and fly over the Rowland Flat, gazing down over Jacob’s Creek winery and some of the largest wine tanks in the country. You’ll soar over the southern region of the breathtaking Barossa Valley before your helicopter lands you elegantly atop a beautiful hill, at the site of 1837 Barossa.
Upon your stylish arrival at 1837 Barossa, you’ll be led to the Col. Light Monument, built in commemoration of the birthplace of the Barossa Valley. From this historic point, behold a truly breathtaking 360-degree view over this sensational valley, capturing photographs to treasure long into the future. Continue on past the colorful sculptures of the Barossa Valley Art Trail and enjoy becoming part of the ‘Wings of Barossa’ installation, which allows you to pose as an angel between two enormous wings set against the stunning backdrop of the Barossa vineyards.
Entering the exclusive 1837 Barossa Pavilion, you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink and invited to watch a movie telling of the fascinating history of the valley, before a guide leads you on a gorgeous walk through the verdant vineyards. Depending on the season, you may be able to sample the sumptuous fruit as your guide delivers insight into the grape growing process.
This education will continue upon return to the pavilion, where you’ll receive an introduction to winemaking and a lesson in professional wine tasting. The experience will culminate in an exquisite tasting of 8 wines, including those from the esteemed Reserve range.
Having prepared your palette for some tantalizing cuisine, settle down in Horizon at 1837, a fine restaurant on the gorgeous 1837 estate. As you indulge in a lavish 3-course lunch, you’ll savor sensational views over the Barossa Valley.
Reboard your helicopter for your second scenic flight, soaring over the lovely town of Lyndoch, gliding over the Barossa Goldfields, and weaving over the Whispering Wall. You’ll fly upstream over the South Para Reservoirs before you return to base via the extraordinary southern Barossa ranges and Williamstown.

If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea.
