Its landscapes, climate, and history combine resulting in a haunting beauty. Craggy cliffs, sandy coves, pristine beaches, and, inland, the fascinating, ancient history all await to be explored and experienced.
It is also the home and setting for the surreal world of the surreal Salvadore Dali who lived and worked here. His museum, which you will have the opportunity to visit, is the largest surrealistic object in the world.
This is a supported tour with a van and driver to provide back up for the riders.

Day 5: Cadaqués - Torroella de Montgrí, 38 mi. (60 km)
From Cadaqués, you head southwards down the Costa Brava. You leave the Cap de Creus behind and cycle along the plain of the Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l´Empordà, a protected area of marshland with abundant birdlife. You then pass the ancient Greek / Roman city of Empúries with its extensive ruins along the seafront bearing testimony to the history of the Iberian Peninsula. Your final destination today is the medieval town of Torroella de Montgrí, dominated by the castle on the grey mountain of Montgrí.Preferred accommodation: Hotel Molí del Mig
Day 6: Torroella de Montgrí - Sant Feliu de Guíxols, 38 km (60 km)
