Overview
This seven-day, 330 km, fully guided bike tour delivers some of the most enjoyable bicycle touring in Australia. North East Victoria is Australia's most popular destination for converted trail cycling, and this route features the iconic Murray to Mountains Rail Trail.
You will cycle to the foothills of the Australian Alps and through fertile alpine valleys stretching out to Australia’s longest river, the Murray. The landscape is diverse and ever-changing, showcasing native forests with Kangaroos and colorful bird species, fertile farmlands, apple orchards, and vineyards.
The wine and food experiences are some of Australia’s best. Expect beautifully aged Shiraz wines and contemporary Australian cuisine with its Asian influences.
This region was once bush-ranger and gold country. In the beautifully preserved villages of Beechworth and Yackandandah, the past is in full display.
As you travel by bike, you will have ample time to explore the countryside, learn about the history, enjoy the unique flora and fauna, and meet with a range of interesting people, including farmers, artists, and community leaders.
