Itinerary
The planned route is always subject to change due to nautical, meteorological or organizational reasons. Among other things, in the event of a strong storm, the captain may decide that the route must be changed for your safety. This is not a legal reason for free withdrawal from the trip.

Individual arrival in the morning to Kiel. At 7 pm, the 5-star Sea Cloud Spirit picks up anchor and begins to navigate, introducing you to the thrill of sailing. During the first dinner on board, enjoy the sunset!
Day 2: Kiel - Copenhagen
Depending on the wind, today is a day under sail on board your luxury vessel. You will be pampered with an exquisite lunch followed by a guided tour of the bridge where you will learn the nautical aspects of your upcoming tour. In the evening, your vessel reaches the Danish capital.
Day 3: Copenhagen, 22 mi. (35 km)
The city of Copenhagen simply has to be experienced. It is a dynamic urban area bursting with energy. A crazy "green" city, focused on environmentally friendly urban living, it is a cyclist's dream come true. Mingle with the locals and experience by bike the historic Old Town, the rococo quarter, the Amalienborg Castle, the lovely harbor of Nyhavn, the landmark of Copenhagen, Christiansborg Castle, located in the gardens of the Renaissance Rosenborg Castle and the hunting lodge Hermitage.
Day 4: Copenhagen - Kalmar - Copenhagen, 16 mi. (26 km)
Depending on the wind and the weather, the plan is to spend the morning under sails. What an impressive site! This glorious vessel is part classic sailing ship and part modern cruise vessel. Fully rigged, the ship is adorned with more than 44,000 square feet of billowing sails. It is also able to run on diesel-electric power though this itinerary is designed to ensure a maximum sailing time. In the early afternoon, the Sea Cloud Spirit reaches Kalmar, Sweden, with its beautiful Renaissance castle.
Day 5: Sailing day
Today the ship is at sea the entire day. This is your day to pamper yourself, soak in the sun, and bask in pure summer joy. Visit the fitness center, schedule a massage, or sit under the plethora of billowing sails on the ample open deck space. Sea spray as the ship passes close to the popular island of Gotland, Sweden's largest island.
Day 6: Gdansk - Sopot - Gdynia, 22 mi. (35 km)
A tour of the restored Old Town of Gdansk is on the agenda. Protected by a city wall and accessible only through magnificent city gates, the city was an important trade center. The Crane Gate at the harbor is one of the oldest city gates (1442) with crane function. Today it is one of the landmarks of Gdansk and serves as a maritime museum. In the old town area you can find richly decorated merchants' houses. During the guided city tour, you will stroll along the magnificent Lange Gasse, which was the main street in the Middle Ages and which leads to the town hall lined with beautifully restored houses. Afterward, the bike tour takes you from Gdansk to the coast to the fashionable seaside resorts of Sopot and Gdynia. A short transfer will bring you back to the ship. In the evening, the Sea Cloud Spirit sets course for Lithuania.
Day 7: Memelland, 25 mi. (40 km)
By ferry, you transfer to the Curonian Spit. Designated a national park (Kuršių Nerijos Nacionalinis Parkas) in 1991, this is an enchanting place. Pine forests populated by deer, elk, and wild boar cover about 70% of the area. Scented by pine, the beautiful cycling path leads through the forest and old fishing villages of Joudkrante (Schwarzort), Preila, and Perwalka. In Schwarzort you will visit Witch's Hill and the wooden figures from Lithuanian mythology.Day 8: Sailing day
Another sailing day is on the agenda and by now, you get the spirit of this unique experience. Let the day take you away and enjoy the sun and seaspray!
Day 9: Riga - Jürmala - Riga, 20 mi. (32 km)
In the morning you will cross the Düna River and leave the city on out of the way paths. You will be amazed by the large number of beautifully preserved wooden houses in Riga. The first cycling stage leads to the sea, to Jürmala, the most popular and splendid seaside resort of the Baltic States. In the afternoon your city guide will lead you through Riga's medieval alleys. Traces of the Hanseatic League and German culture can still be found.Day 10: Sailing day
Full sails are planned (weather permitting) as you glide the seas to Klaipeda, the only major seaport of Lithuania.
Day 11: Island of Gotland, 18 mi. (28 km)
In the middle of the Baltic Sea lies Sweden's largest island Gotland - just as if it were its gently pulsating heart. Gotland was one of the most important trading posts of the Hanseatic League. From enchanting Visby, with its historic buildings and blooming gardens, you cycle to the Högklint nature reserve with breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea.
Day 12: Stockholm, 16 mi. (25 km)
Under sails, you will enjoy sailing through the picturesque Stockholm archipelago. On a bike tour via Djurgården, the green island of Stockholm to the Vasa Museum you will experience royal city impressions and arrive at the old town Gamla Stan. You will pass countless houses that reflect the prosperity of the city. A guided walking tour of the Old Town will round off your afternoon in Stockholm.Day 13: Disembarkation

Arrival at the docking location in Stockholm where your luxury vessel will remain for the evening. During the first dinner on board, your tour guide will introduce the exciting days ahead!
Day 2: Stockholm, 16 mi. (25 km)

You will spend a whole day at sea on your way to the Baltic States. Laying up, untying ropes, setting sails, the first officer will provide deeper insights into the fascinating world of a tall ship. If the weather is nice, it is wonderful to stroll on one of the outside decks or read a book in a deck chair.
Day 4: Riga & Jürmala, 20 mi. (32 km)
In the morning you will cross the Düna River and leave the city on hidden paths. You will be amazed by the large number of beautifully preserved wooden houses in Riga. The first cycling stage leads to the sea and to Jürmala, the most popular and splendid seaside resort of the Baltic States. In the afternoon, a guided city tour through Riga's medieval alleys will enchant. Traces of the Hanseatic League and German culture abound.Day 5: Sailing day
Enjoy life on board at your leisure today as your impressive vessel sets off in full sail. Watch the crew prepare the vessel and hoist the sails.. Every command is in place and hand in hand the sailors work high up in the masts. Afterwards, chat with the captain on the bridge and let him explain the modern nautical technology on board. You will also learn exciting facts about the region during an informative lecture.
Day 6: Memelland, 25 mi. (40 km)

In the morning the Sea Cloud Spirit reaches Kalmar, with its beautiful Renaissance castle. You bike the Kalmar Castle Circuit around the most famous medieval castle in Sweden.
Day 10: Modern Malmö, 23 mi. (37 km)
Malmö is an excellent place to discover by bike. In the afternoon, you will pedal this bicycle-friendly city, from lush green parks and beach promenades at the Öresund to historic castles and modern architecture in the Västra Hamnen district.
Day 11: Copenhagen, 22 mi. (35 km)
Depending on the wind, you will spend the morning under sail navigating to Copenhagen, Denmark's hip and green capital. The city is ideal for cyclists. Experience on the bike tour the historic Old Town, with Frederiksstaden, the rococo quarter with Amalienborg Castle, the pretty harbor Nyhavn, the landmark of Copenhagen, Christiansborg Castle, situated in the middle of gardens the Renaissance Rosenborg Castle, and the hunting lodge Hermitage.
Day 12: Stockholm - Kiel (under sail)
Depending on the wind, you will enjoy another day under sail on your way to Kiel. If the weather is nice, it is wonderful to stroll on one of the outside decks or read a book in a deck chair while the ship passes close to the popular vacation island of Bornholm.
Day 13: Kiel
You arrive in the fjord of Kiel. In the morning, the SPIRIT is moored in the port of Kiel. After breakfast, you will disembark together. Individual or organized departure for an additional charge. -

This is an easy guided bike tour along the picturesque Baltic sea coasts. The total distance of severn cycling days covers 230 km. You will cycle mostly flat, on cycle paths, gravel roads, forest paths, and minor roads with little traffic.
Airport Info
The closest international airport to your tour start in Kiel is Hamburg Airport (HAM) and in Stockholm, Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN). This is a tour where booking a multi-city itinerary is recommended, arriving at one airport and departing from another.
Local Travel
Arrivals at Hamburg Airport to Kiel:
Hamburg Airport has a train station that is easily accessible from Terminals 1 & 2. Here you can access a train to Kiel with one or two transfers required. Travel time varies from 1 hr. 30 min to just under 2 hours.
Arrivals at Stockholm Airport to Stockholm:
The train station is located in the underground level of the terminal building. You can board the Arlanda Express train which starts from Arlanda airport to Stockholm central station and vice versa. Travel time is only 20 minutes.
Please allow enough time from arrival at the airport to your arrival at the boat by 4 pm.

During the day and during the cycling excursions dress comfortably and casually. Rainwear is necessary. The temperature change quickly and varies throughout the day. Layering works best!
For the evenings on board, you decide the style of your clothing, casual or summery-fine. Only at the traditional Captain’s Dinner (twice per cruise) is something more elegant a popular ritual.Remarks
This tour includes the CO2 compensation program, Atmosfair, a non-profit climate protection organization with a focus on travel. This contribution will provide for the expansion of renewable energies in countries where they are scarcely available.

Travel Documents
It is each traveler's responsibility to research travel requirements and to ensure that you are in compliance with the country or countries you plan to visit. This includes and is not limited to passport validity, blank visa pages required for your destination (s), and any other requirement.
