Epic Croatia! Split-Dubrovnik-Split
Croatia Bike + Boat Tours
A 15-day bike & boat tour exploring the beauty of Croatia
-
Overview
This is a two-week epic bike and boat tour "island-hopping" through Croatia's stunning landscapes. Here are a few reasons why this tour will be unforgettable (a once-in-a-lifetime experience) and by the time you have gone yourself, I'm sure you will list a thousand more!
- The sun shines here over 2500 hours a year.
- The Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea is one of the cleanest and most beautiful seas in the world. The turquoise color of the water is so blue, it appears surreal.
- More than 1,000 islands dot the coastline of this archipelago, giving the concept "island-hopping" a totally new meaning.
- Croatia is blessed with natural wonders, showcased in its eight national parks. The landscape is vast and varied: towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, thick forests, jagged coastlines, and award-winning beaches!
- The history here is fascinating...and visible! Its ancient walled cities and palaces speak through the ages. Here is some trivia for you. Remember Game of Thrones and the dragons of Daenerys? They were locked in the basement of Diocletian's Palace in Split. Well, not literally, but those dank ancient catacombs are the site of many scenes from the series.
- Croatian gastronomy is a reflection of its rich history and culture and the result is an eclectic blend of delicious. Mediterranean, Italian, Greek, Balkan, Austrian, and Hungarian all season the pot. Four distinct geographical Croatian wine regions comprise the country and you will be sure to find the perfect wine to compliment the excellent cuisine.
This tour was specifically designed with relaxation...and you in mind! You can bike more, less, or not at all! The sea will be literally at your feet. Jump off deck and right in! History buffs will enjoy the guided city walks as the past comes alive around you. Grab a good book and lounge chair and soak up the sun as your vessel cruises the Croatian coastline.

Extra Info
Skill Level — Moderate
Establishing the difficulty level of a tour is always the most difficult thing to do. One person’s easy may be another’s difficult! On a regular touring bike (non-electric) we are rating this tour moderate. Daily distances range from 7 to 38 mi. with an average of 19 mi. per day. The terrain is mountainous but the views are worth the climbs! You will traverse heights between 750 and 2900 feet. You can request an electric bike (supply is limited) which totally changes the difficulty level of any tour. On an E-bike, this tour could be easy, moderate, or difficult, depending on the level of assistance you utilize! Do note for every participant, whether on an electric bike or non-electric bike, it is assumed that you are a regular cyclist and that you ride often.
