Extra Info
Skill Level — Moderate
This tour is designed as an electric bike tour and could be easy, moderate, or difficult, depending on the level of assistance you utilize! The daily biking excursions typically range from 12 to 25 miles (20 to 40 kilometers) in length, primarily traversing hilly and mountainous terrain. Participants can complete these miles at their own pace and will encounter longer, steep climbs, which shouldn’t present a problem when using electric bikes. Most routes are on asphalt roads with minimal traffic. Your tour guide will provide daily details about the itinerary. You can take a half or full day off from cycling to swim or relax on the boat instead. This is mainly a guided group tour, but with your guides’ approval, you might have the chance to explore recommended routes independently.
Airport Info
The nearest airport to your embarkation is Bodrum Airport (BJV). Alternatively, you can fly via the Greek island of Kos and continue by ferry to Bodrum, however, this is more complicated. Please let us know if you plan on flying into Kos so we can help you with your travel plans.
Local Travel
We advise that you book one of the fee-based group transfers that are offered on arrival and departure days. Please contact us for more details!
Your vessel will be moored on embarkation day in the port of Bodrum. Check-in begins at 2 pm. The actual mooring assignment within the port may not be available until embarkation day. For this reason, organized transfers are the most practical means of arriving to the boat. The boat will remain in Bodrum overnight.
Climate
The Gulf of Gökova, situated on Turkey’s southwestern coast, experiences a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers with temperatures between 25°C and 35°C (77°F to 95°F) and mild, wet winters where temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F). Autumn brings cooling temperatures and increasing rainfall, while spring sees a gradual warm-up and reduced precipitation. Overall, the region enjoys sunny, pleasant weather, particularly favored during the summer months.
Day of Rest
Should you choose not to bike, you may enjoy the day on board the ship sunbathing and enjoying the scenery.
