Imagine experiencing a Bike & Boat trip on a ship entirely your own with a group of friends or family members!

Chartering a ship is possible on several of our trips, including most of our Bike & Boat tours in Holland, and in Netherlands & Belgium as well as in France. Several different barges are available for chartering, which range from those with simple accommodations to the more luxurious Zwaan and 5-star Sailing Home. The size of the group on board can vary from as little as 8 to as many as 30, depending on the size of the ship.

Where do you want to go? You may be inspired by one of our previously established routes, such as the ones shown on this Route page; though drawing up a route of your own is usually also possible. A very comfortable hybrid bicycle (usually with 21- or 24-speeds) and an English-speaking tour guide will complete the trip, along with your own personal chef of course.

For the non-cyclists on board, there are various alternative activities available to partake in, such as walking tours, visiting old historical sites and villages, waterwork sites, museums, or even renting a car to do a bit of sightseeing on your own.

The intimate atmosphere, personal service and attention on board and the magnificent scenery are among the ingredients to make such a trip unforgettable, be it during summer or winter. The ships are comfortable all year round; well heated in winter, which make them a pleasant alternative for parties even throughout the colder season.

Please keep in mind that chartering a ship is allowed by request only and subject to availability. Ships are assigned on a first come first serve basis, thus signing up early is highly recommended.
